Our client, a foundations solutions company, is seeking a Business Analysts (BA) or Business Systems Analysts (BSA)

Job Summary:

The Business Analysts (BA) or Business Systems Analysts (BSA) a for Microsoft Business Central (formerly Navision, NAV) is responsible for ensuring that company is deriving the maximum business value from our ERP, resulting in efficient and effective business operations and regulatory compliance. This individual leads the planning, designing, implementing, and supporting ERP associated systems. The BA is responsible for collecting and analyzing business requirements, optimizing business processes in partnership with business stakeholders, defining system requirements, completing application configuration and development, testing and end user training and support. This role will provide oversight for the ERP, both supply chain and accounting.

What You'll Do:

Strategy, Architecture and Training Responsibilities

  • Works closely with various business stakeholders in defining business requirements and shaping the long-term direction of the ERP, Microsoft Business Central supply chain and accounting platform.
  • Facilitates organizational ERP strategies for governance, design, implementation, integration, and usage
  • Ensures that the use of the Business Central enhances Running-the-Business (RTB) abilities
  • Project Management & Communications of the ERP/ Business Central strategy and roadmap
  • Reviews all updates to the platform and makes sure there is no impact to the overall architecture and integration with downstream systems
  • Works closely with third-party vendors including software providers, implementation partners, and consultants
  • Develop and implement ERP for new associates/business suers that will work on the ERP platform
  • Develop and implement ongoing training program to support the evolution of the ERP platform

Change Management

  • Drive adoption of ERP platform and supported processes across the organization through delivering high quality, reliable and scalable technology solution
  • Foster the creation of a process-driven culture, related competencies, and business process literacy across the enterprise.

ERP Platform Responsibilities

  • Ensure the ERP system is configured and optimized in a manner to effectively support business operations.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce the level of customizations made to the ERP system by leveraging out-of-the-box functionality and off-the-shelf bolt-on technology.
  • Direct all configuration, customization, and application development activities, ensuring the team adheres to a standard SDLC process.
  • Ensure effective application support, maintenance and system administration capabilities are in place enabling maximum end user productivity, uptime and availability and IT efficiencies.
  • Manage projects, resource capacity planning and prioritization.
  • Integrates ERP with 3rd party applications as required.
  • Ensures controls related to approval levels, user access, routing etc. are established and maintained in the system.
  • Work with the Finance & Accounting team to establish internal controls as it relates to SOPs, compliance, and financial audits.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Management
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in Business Central business analysis and support management
  • Proven experience in leading and deploying business application projects.
  • Proven experience in analyzing existing customizations and determine viability of leveraging out-of-box functionality.
  • Experience integrating business systems both on premise and cloud-based; ERP, financial consolidation and supply chain and, etc.
  • Experience with system design and development starting from business requirements analysis through implementation and support.
  • Knowledge of Operations, Supply Chain & Finance Functions; Sales and Customer Service;
  • The ability to show a high degree of initiative, to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs, and to continuously meet deadlines.
  • Strong organization skills, prioritization, and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously within a flexible work environment.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and a confidence in working with executive leaders within the organization. Strong attention to detail and a desire to consistently "peel the onion" to uncover opportunities for improvement with our team and our business and vendor partner
