Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Business Applications & Systems Analyst 3/4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This individual will play an essential role in the implementation and maintenance of an integrated program management system. This position will be located in Dulles VA. Must be within commutable distance of our Dulles facility to be considered for this role.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Analyzing, evaluating, modifying, configuring, testing and implementing business system tools and processes on complex space system programs in an Earned Value Management environment.
  • Tool implementation, documentation, training and configuration support, providing solutions for the business management user community.
  • Coordinating system upgrades, enhancements or maintenance with program business teams and enterprise IT support.
  • Providing support to a broad set of custom and third-party tools, including Cobra, Empower, SQL, SharePoint, Cognos and other business tool applications including VBA applications.
  • Providing centralized support to multiple teams and users to ensure consistent process definition, implementation, output and deliverables through process design, solution analysis and implementation, maintenance, and support.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications: This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience - OR - a Master's degree from an accredited university with 3+ years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:
  • Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of related experience - OR - a Master's degree from an accredited university with 7+ years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Additional Basic Qualifications for both levels:
  • Experience with the deployment of business system tools and processes.
  • Experience developing and facilitating training to a wide range of practitioners, including business and program management teams.
  • Must possess good communication skills.
  • Experience in deployment and maintenance of database applications (such as Deltek Cobra) with a focus on setup, implementation, processes and configuration at the user interface level.
  • In-depth experience with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Access and Visio.
  • Experience in an Earned Value Management environment.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in CIS or MIS.
  • Experience with DCMA data-driven surveillance metrics and associated tools and processes.
  • Experience defining requirements, testing and implementing web-based applications.
  • Experience with SQL databases and queries.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Nintex and workflow creation.
  • An active Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Salary Range: $92,200 USD - $138,400 USD

Salary Range 2: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
