GDIT is your place to make meaningful contributions to challenging projects and grow a rewarding career.The Operations Manager has primary responsibility for the operational and financial leadership within the Program management office. The position performs forward looking analysis and oversight of the business planning, and records keeping in alignment with contractual requirements. This senior position will be part of the Contract leadership team to support and manage business-related issues affecting proposals and programs; support business unit and organization strategic goals by assuring adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and contract requirements.This position must work and think independently - while also providing leadership and support to their team; duties of this position are to be completed under minimal guidance. Discretion in handling assigned responsibilities, including the ability to resolve problems and exercise exceptional judgment while maintaining confidentiality across the contract teams and personnel.Key responsibilities include:

Collaborate and support client communications and delivery/task order reviews including scope, period of performance, funding reviews, staffing when applicable and risk mitigation

Develop and manage processes and R&R for managing cloud utilization reporting and alerting. Ensure consistency with contract modifications, client funding and execution expectations

Understand and help client manage and report budget vs actuals based on funding types, period of performance, etc.

Prepare and attend monthly Program Management Reviews (PMR) with client

Support, and lead, monthly contractual deliverable preparation

Support project managers in the development and analysis of:

Work breakdown structure (WBS)

Delivery order status tracking including budget vs actual analysis, deliverable submission, risk and issue tracking, etc.

Train and assist task managers with forecasting and staffing plans

Work with Contracts, Subcontracts and Finance to ensure Program compliance and timely actions by both the Program and internal support services

Ensure Contract staffing communication and approval requirements are met

Collaborate with Program Manager on strategic opportunities including requirement assessments, strategic pricing, risk identification and mitigation, employee versus subcontractor usage decisions

Coordinate setting Strategic Business Reviews ( SBR) with AWS and FAA Customers

Analyze funding affordability for Hosting changes

Lead customer financial review meetings as necessary

Prepare AWS and Azure Cost Allocation files

Onboard/Offboard staff following FAA standard operating procedures

Track GFE using GDIT asset management system

Review AWS cost optimization with FAA customers

Create and maintain FAA Standard Operating Procedures

Lead Financial Analyst in day to day task

Other operational duties as assigned
