Piper Companies is seeking a Business Reporting Analyst! This position will place particular emphasis on providing actionable business and data insight in consultation with management and business units for use in daily and strategic decision making. The Business Reporting Analyst will collaborate with a team of data professionals in acquiring, transforming, validating, and visualizing data. In this role the reporting analyst will contribute to the daily analysis and reporting needs of the company through the development, maintenance and distribution of reports. The ideal will have strong SQL, Tableau and daily reporting skills. 1-2 days per week in McLean, VA is advantageous. Compile, assess and summarize complex information using Tableau, Business Object Reporting, Microsoft Excel and SQL programming 2. Obtain quantitative and qualitative data of business processes to analyze, determine and promote data-driven decisions 3. Support and track deposits campaign performance evaluations across all existing and prospect membership touch-points, including direct mail, digital, mobile, call center, statements, and branch channels. 4. Analyze data gathered from multiple sources to reconcile differences. Apply a consistent approach to data interpretation and performance measurement results. 5. Analyze and evaluate competitor data and industry trends to understand current business unit competitive posture 6. Interpret analytic findings and formulate recommendations to share with key decision makers. Articulate findings and observations and make recommendations as appropriate. 7. Design daily report visualizations that provide aggregated statistics on operational activity to monitor Build new and modify existing database/ data-mart and business intelligence solutions to meet business unit objectives 8. Design, maintain, and document dashboards, reports, and benchmarks to alert business units to monitor business status and fluctuations Education and Experience An equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative field is required. • Minimum of four (4) years' in data reporting, in • Hands-on skills in SQL, Tableau • Strong skills presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely • Advanced verbal and written communication skills • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. • Ability to manage many initiatives simultaneously while providing progressive delivery. • Effectively interact and communicate with varying levels of leadership across a broad network of resources • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills necessary. Compensation for the Business Reporting Analyst Includes: - Salary Range: $105,000-130,000, $50-$65/hr. depending on experience
