CACI is looking for a Chief Engineer to manage engineering related activities that support our customer, Secretary of the Air Force (SAF), Administrative Assistant (AA), Concepts Development, and Management Office (CMD), Mission Partner Capabilities Office (MPCO).

This position is contingent upon award of the MPE Consolidation contract.

Responsibilities:

The MPE Chief Engineer will provide Life Cycle Management, supervision, technical expertise, training and mentoring for the MPE Enterprise Network and Systems Engineering and Administrator teams. Be responsible for managing team operations, maintenance, and sustainment of all enterprise IT devices and systems.

Responsible to Develop, implement, manage, and maintain procedures to ensure all devices are configured in accordance with mission requirements and security policies, ensure updates of OS, monitor and report operational status, resolve issues when they occur, and include working closely with vendors and service providers. Monitor capacity and utilization. Provide trending and capacity planning services to analyze and plan for efficient utilization and management of the enterprise.

Candidates need excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with network hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity. They must be customer service-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of resources.

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated and current experience leading, managing, and overseeing large-scale enterprise operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing globally dispersed teams.
  • Full understanding of ITSM reporting and tracking.
  • Understanding of the MPE enterprise environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience in presenting material to senior MPCO and non-MPCO officials
  • Managerial experience in an IC environment with a significant number of direct staff.
  • Experience in a quality assurance environment that includes, at a minimum, knowledge of: customer satisfaction tracking; user complaint and monitoring programs; and quality control (QC) systems reviews and analysis.
  • Attract, train, develop, manage, and retain high performing staff.

Qualifications:
  • At least ten years' experience as a senior Engineer managing a technical teams in a performance-based contract with a value over $40M per year or $300M in total contract value over the PoP.
  • Experience supervising a multi-disciplinary staff (70 person or more) of various levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing managed services approach in multiple service provider, multi-subcontractor environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology or comparable discipline
  • ITIL v3 Intermediate or expert certification.
  • Security clearance of TS/SCI.
  • Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) equivalent or higher
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) equivalent or higher
  • PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or equivalent

Desired Skills:
  • A minimum of ten years of experience managing complex programs and leading geographically dispersed operations and engineering staff of varying skill levels.
  • Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or another related technical field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in supporting DoD or IC Information Technology Enterprise (ITE) contract.
  • Certified Program Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • CompTIA IT Fundamentals+ (ITF+)
