Description:The Civil Foreman oversees all aspects of the civil component of the project. Interface with the subcontractor to ensure conformance with approved plans, specifications, scope of work, and contract documents. Corrects and reports any safety issues to Safety Manager. Manage daily activities and material of subcontractor.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Communicate with subcontractors and internal leadership, keeping all parties informed of project details and/or changes related to scheduling, project scope, or any requested deliverables. Understand the Scope of Work of the subcontractors, per assigned project. Work with the Environmental team to ensure that subcontractors remain in compliance with both, organization and state Environmental regulations. Ensures that all tasks are executed in accordance with approved methods of Safety, Quality and client standards. Correct and report any safety hazards to site leadership and Safety team. Create and execute a one week schedule. Use mathematic skills to solve problems and perform operations using units of measurement for distance. Verify calculations for gathering physical survey data, document technical design details, analyze physical, survey, or geographic data, survey land to measure or determine features, determine operational criteria or specifications, calibrate scientific or technical equipment, calculate geographic positions from survey data. Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Perform inspections and audits of subcontractor’s work, prior to turnover. Take corrective actions as needed. Perform daily checks of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) documentation, prior to performing any work on site. Identifies potential quality issues and/or engineering concerns. Submit daily production reports of site activity as required, to the Superintendent. Manage subcontractor material and equipment on site. Remain up to date on all revisions of civil drawings. Attend all meetings as needed. Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste. Lead and instruct crew members.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Must have a developing knowledge of layout and survey work. Minimum 3 years of solar civil leadership experience required. Minimum 3 years of commercial construction supervision experience preferred. OSHA 10 or 30 certification. Must be able to read construction drawings and diagrams, and develop a working plan for implementation of design. Basic math skills and reading comprehension.
