Timmons Group is currently seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer II or III candidate to join our Residential Land Development Group in our Richmond, VA office location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:Create project designs using relevant software including Civil 3DComplete supporting project calculations for site hydrology, earthwork balance, utility sizing, erosion control design, and engineering cost opinions Compile complete design details and plan sets for locality review & approvalWork with the project manager to process site plan reviews, revisions and submissions leading to approvals & permits from localities, VDOT, DEQ, and other agenciesSpecify proprietary site engineering elements such as underground drainage and stormwater management systems through the use of research and manufacturing catalogsCreate base maps, site test fits, and engineering reports for site due diligenceAttend client and stakeholder meetings with the project manager and other team membersComplete construction field observations, site visit reports, and conformance inspectionsWork productively in a team environment, maintaining good communication with cross-functional team members (both internal and external) throughout the project lifecycleSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related fieldAt least two years of experience in Land Development projects in Virginia preferredEIT required, PE registration is a plusAdvanced level of working proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3DWorking knowledge of SiteOps, Pondpack, Bluebeam, and ArcGIS are a plusIdeal candidates will have a solid understanding of VA state requirements for stormwater management, VRRM, and currently permitted manufactured stormwater management systemsExcellent written and oral communication skills
