The Enterprise Data Services team has an immediate opening for a Cloud Data Engineer. Our team delivers a centralized data and analytics platform that provides advanced data migration and analytics solutions for our bank district customers. We work with state-of-the-art technologies that are part of the next generation data ecosystem, which includes tools used for data storage, data processing, data integration, data lakes, data warehousing, and data analytics. This position will work directly with the Enterprise Data Movement (EDM) team. The EDM team is responsible for evaluating and implementing solutions to on-board, build and deploy analytic solutions in the Cloud. You will work cross-functionally with Data Architects, Product Owners, Design Engineers, Developers and Business Analysts in a rapidly evolving environment, identifying solutions, building, and implementing Infrastructure as Code using our CI/CD pipeline.The Richmond Fed is the proud home of the Federal Reserve's National IT organization-a nationwide team delivering technology solutions and support across the Federal Reserve System. It's all part of what makes #MyRichmondFed a great place to work!Cloud Data Automation Test LeadAbout the Opportunity The Enterprise Data Service has an immediate opening for an Automation Test Lead.The Federal Reserve System's cloud provides the centralized data and analytics platform housing advanced data management and analytics solutions for business lines in the Federal Reserve System. We work with state-of-the-art technologies that are part of the next generation data ecosystem, which includes services used for data storage, processing, integration, data lakes, warehousing, and data analytics.A high-level goal of this position is to develop an automated testing platform across all EDS products/capabilities. You will work cross-functionally with other architects, product managers, design engineers, developers, operations, and product owners in a rapidly evolving environment. As an Automation Test Lead, you will be accountable for secure and scalable designs for the entire suite of EDS products and services.As part of the National IT team, our cloud data service team works with multiple business lines, our Board, and IT groups from Federal Reserve System districts. You will have an opportunity to showcase your critical thinking and technical skills across many disciplines and across the Federal Reserve System. This role will be instrumental in shaping the direction of enterprise data.What You Will Do:- Develop, maintain, and execute scripts for validation, integration, regression, performance and usability testing.
- Develop test automation strategy for large complex projects in AGILE methodology.
- Identify, verify, track, and regress product bugs.
- Understand our current data model and infrastructure, proactively identify gaps, areas for improvement, and prescribe architectural recommendations with a focus on performance and accessibility.
- Contribute to team agile planning activities and backlog prioritization by engaging with technical team members to ensure test plans are viable for creation and implementation. to meet test completion dates and milestones.
- Automate and optimize existing data processing workloads by recognizing patterns of data and technology usage and implementing solutions.
- Develop validation and certification process through automation tools.
- Demonstrates mutual respect, embraces diversity, and acts with authenticity
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience; advance degree preferred
- Experience maintaining automation frameworks.
- Seven or more years of experience in designing and building large-scale solutions in an enterprise setting
- Three years in designing and building solutions in the cloud
- Monitor, measure, and report on testing progress, product quality, testing results.
- Refined skills using one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, bash, etc.)
- Embrace data platform thinking, design and develop data pipelines keeping security, scale, uptime, and reliability in mind.
- Solid grasp of the intersection between analytics and engineering while maintaining a proactive approach to assure solutions demonstrate high levels of performance, privacy, security, scalability, and reliability upon deployment.
- Able to expertly express the benefits and constraints of technology solutions to technology partners, business partners, and team members
- Experience with leveraging CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Agile methodologies and able to work in an Agile manner is preferred
- One or more cloud certifications

- Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications/experience.
- The national hiring range for this role is 104,000 - 130,000.
