Set data architecture principles, create models of data that enable the implementation of the intended functional capability architecture and deliver roadmaps and visualizations needed to implement the cloud architectural vision.

Craft overall technical vision and direction documents for large or complex initiatives, evaluating technologies and/or alternate approaches, working with stakeholders to estimate and design approaches, and supporting program-level trade-offs on priorities.

Visualization of big picture data to map the systems and interfaces used to manage data, sets standards for data management, analyzes current state, and conceives desired future state, and conceives projects needed to close the gap between current state and future goals.

Conceptualization and influence of application and interface projects within the cloud environment, providing guidance to steer toward desirable outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, or business/finance.

Minimum Experience : Five (5) years of relevant experience.

Required Technical Skills :

Experience with Python, SQL, and Databricks.

Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau and/or Qlik or other DON/Jupiter tools is a plus.

Certification(s):

DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level I Certification (or higher) is required prior to support on contract.

Cloud Architecture Certification from a major cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or Google is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycle, from design and development to testing, implementation and production support.

Work across teams, and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during infrastructure buildouts.

Strong interpersonal (verbal, written, listening and non-verbal communication) skills.

Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: development, testing, tools, and techniques.

Experience communicating trends and impacts.

Experience working with Agile/SCRUM, writing user stories, and following the development process through user story acceptance.

DoD/Navy experience is a plus.

The likely salary range for this position is $116,979 - $154,787. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match.To encourage work/life balance, GDIT offers employees full flex work weeks where possible and a variety of paid time off plans, including vacation, sick and personal time, holidays, paid parental, military, bereavement and jury duty leave.
