CACI is looking for a Cloud Engineer to support a fast-paced, agile development team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will work with Government stakeholders at a customer site to design, plan, implement and optimize customer's data architecture in the cloud to include data ingest, storage, retrieval, analytics and visualization.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate data sources accessed via data dumps, web services, databases and structured/unstructured files.
  • Support the design and optimization of backend search indexes and user-centric federated search applications necessary to effectively expose a wide variety of internal and external data sources to customer's analysts leveraging cloud services.
  • Provide technical leadership to integrate and apply Hadoop ecosystem and related open source technologies to meet requirements in the cloud.
  • Write code to prepare, ingest, process, store and search data in various formats in the cloud
  • Design and implement data discovery strategies, federated search and geospatial/non-geospatial search integration from data service engineers to the cloud.
  • Integrate entity extraction and Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools including, but not limited to, AWS Comprehend NetOwl. Design, develop and maintain code and scripts necessary to integrate data sets, results sets and workflows within customer's larger data service architecture in the cloud.
  • Integrate and apply COTS/GOTS technologies to meet customer requirements in the cloud
  • Automate the creation and deployment of Docker container-based apps provided by the data service engineers to the cloud
  • Provide technical leadership to integrate and apply relational and NoSQL database technologies to meet customer requirements in cloud.
  • Provide technical leadership to solicit and propose the integration of classified community services to include data sources, analytics, visualization, mapping and product publishing to the cloud.
  • Responsible for the entire scope and life cycle of the assigned product lines, software applications, and services to include, but not limited to, design and architecture, documentation, user communication and coordination, security and compliance, underlying infrastructure, as well as adherence and participation in all life cycle and configuration management processes.
  • Evaluate customer's data service capabilities and requirements and provide technical recommendations for information architecture, data modeling and data mining enhancements via customer's IT roadmap.
  • Support the design and implementation of data access, quality, processing and discovery strategies such as user ranking, tagging, advanced relevancy ranking, automated suggestions, predictive analytics, advanced queries, and data visualization.
  • Develop software and scripts in Java, Scala, PowerShell and/or similar languages as necessary to prototype, integrate and maintain capabilities for customer's data architecture.
  • Develop and deliver briefings, technical proposals and architecture documentation.
  • Clearly document requirements, specifications, and processes.
  • Clearly communicate ideas and resolutions to customers in a timely manner.
Required Skills

  • BS computer science or computer engineering with 3 years of experience full time in code writing, debugging, documenting, and testing for software creation
  • 2 years of experience applying advanced technical skills and experience in designing and implementing distributed applications and systems on a cloud platform within last five years - AWS preferred
  • 1 year of experience with scripting (e.g.,PERL, PowerShell, Scala, Ruby)
  • 1 year of experience using Docker containers for provisioning and automation
  • 1 year of experience in Linux administration
  • 1 year of experience in applying Hadoop Ecosystem technologies within the last 5 years
  • MUST HAVE ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
