Cloud Software Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Cloud Software Engineer FULL TIME assignment with one of our premier IT clients in Ashburn, VA . Our client is searching for a Cloud Software Engineer to join their analytics team. Theyare building high throughput, low latency applications using big data, ETL pipelines, and caching. This position is 100% remote but must have availability to travel once per quarter to Ashburn, VA. Responsibilities :

• Create backend applications and development hosted in AWS.
• Construct solutions and debug problems.
• Maintain clear comments and logs within all applications.
• Pull, query, and cache data in a runtime environment.
• Analyze the cloud infrastructure needs of the company.
• Define, implement and manage a cloud based infrastructure.
• Perform tool administrative tasks and provide application support for the platform.
• Establish foundation for future implementations and automation requirements in the cloud, identify opportunities for automation and develop scalable solutions.
• Work closely with business technology peers and management emphasizing collaboration and joint effort to ensure that the needs and expectations of organizational stake holders, business partners, external customers, and third party organizations are met and/or exceeded.

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience (6 years).
• 5+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency with multithreaded operations and memory management is key.
• Experience with C# ASP.Net Core (MVC, authentication, EntityFramework)
• Skilled in the followingAWS components - EC2 - Load Balancing - Autoscaling Groups - Lambda - S3
• Preferred knowledge of: - Docker/Container services - Redis - RabbitMQ / SQS - MSSQL - Elasticache - Kibana
• Proficiency in frontend work (React, HTML/XML, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS, etc) is a plus, but not required.
