Description:Candidate will be working for a metal stamping company with a diverse customer base. They have 2 buildings with CNC and manual equipment used in the stamping and sheet metal fabrication process. Duties are divided based on the need of the business between two departments and based on their skill set. Candidate will fluctuate between two main areas of operation.Coil fed press department- candidates will be operating a 110 ton coil fed press, running a large roll of sheet metal through a 3 part piece of equipment. Ideal Candidates will run multiple pieces of equipment and will feed materials through the straightener by making computer and manual adjustments (CNC controlled and manually operated with levers and manipulatingCandidate will load rolls via overhead crane and move materials via forklift for press machinery as the raw product is quite large generally working with a team of others to operate the equipment from start to finished product. CandidateCandidate will be higher level than the Press Brake operator; and in fact must be familiar with machine dies and changeover of parts/dies for equipment.Candidate must be willing to get their hands dirty as the equipment is old and greasy; performing troubleshooting functions as well as quality measurement checks on the product produced. Manual and CNC equipment will be worked onIn Press area, changeovers can occur as few times as 2 times a day if running the same type of metal, or as many die change outs as 10 times a day if they have various jobs. Candidates must change out their own dies, use hand tools, and always work within safety specs.Skills:sheet, metal, machine, operator, coil, feed, technician, assurance, manufacturing, production, dies, press, feeder, straightener, press, Cnc, Machine operation, Blueprint, Cnc machine, Machine operating, Sheet metal, Fabrication, Machining, Inspection, Press brake, Punch press, Blueprint reading, Brake, Cnc millAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Candidate must possess a strong machine operating and mechanical experience to include 2-5 years of machine operation, manual and cnc preferably, and ideal candidate will have operated a coil fed press or some expertise in sheet metal operations.Candidate must have a familiarity with dies as it relates to the machine and manufacturing processes; and a "fixer" as many of the machines are older and all changes will be manual adjustments.Candidates must be able to articulate how they perform a changeover and what it is, how many people were involved in the process and how often this was performed.Candidate must possess troubleshooting machinery experience and when applicable, measuring tools experience.
