AECOM is currently seeking a Commissioning Manager for our Washington, DC area. The Commissioning Manager will support new construction building commissioning and existing building retro-commissioning projects. Qualified professionals will have demonstrated expertise in managing complex commissioning projects over $100M in construction cost, led commissioning through design development, and successfully performed all construction phase commissioning activities. This person must have strong written and verbal communications skills, excellent PC computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word or suitable document writing programs and thrive in a dynamic team environment and proficient in problem solving.This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Commissioning:Provide commissioning technical leadership with regionEnsure that projects are delivered within the agreed upon cost, quality, schedule and profitInitiates and leads all phases of comprehensive design through post-occupancy commissioningLeads development of AECOM provides commissioning specifications, commissioning plan, procedures, and contentLead Quality Control Verifier for AECOM developed commissioning proceduresAbility to read and interpret engineering and control circuit drawingsProgram Management:Interface with clients on schedules, meetings and issues (manage client expectations)Advise senior management of the project status on a regular basisAnticipate potential schedule or priority delays and initiate plans for alternative actionsOversee program related activities for smaller programs or a defined part of a larger program, in support of the overall Program ManagerProvide technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery at the program level or for elements of a programAdvocate for ethical and safe working practicesSupports innovation in program management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiationIdentify areas of high risk and pro-actively takes actions to positively impact program outcomesContribute to the global learning and people development strategy for program management, including identification of talent gaps and resourcing plansAssess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertiseProposes skill development approaches and workforce planning to deliver capabilities for the futureActively supports the attraction and retention of talent across area of expertiseAccountable for overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management agreementBusiness Development:Identify and lead key pursuits and develop successful win strategies within regionLead client relationship/business development activities through early interaction, “scope of work” development, interviews, and on-going client maintenance interfaceWork with other practice leaders to develop AECOM’s competitive positioning strategyLead or contribute to commissioning proposal development, including technical approach and pricingParticipate in short-list interview process as subject matter expert and/or project lead
