The analyst uses their judgement to determine if the requested work is within our scope. Clarifications and additional details are worked out between the analyst and the customer.

Once the scope is defined, the analyst issues a task to a work group to do a site survey; the data from that survey becomes part of the rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimate that is provided to the customer.

The customer agrees to the cost and provides a funding code to allow for procurement of the items.
