Role Description: CoStar Group, Inc. combines research, technology, innovative tools and powerful marketing enabling customers, to make informed, high impact decisions. Having a rich understanding of the quality of content in our products, ensures we are producing material that is relevant and usable to our customers. As Content Quality Assurance, you examine the content produced by a variety of contributors, to safeguard the expectations of the business and customer. Additionally, by examining the content, you look for opportunities to elevate the overall quality of content on our sites to further delight our customers.Content Quality Assurance is responsible for unbiasedly assessing the quality of content via extensive research of geography in the US. In this role, you look for consistency, relevance, authenticity, factual accuracy, and consideration for the customer’s overall experience with our content on a daily basis.Responsibilities :
Performing audits to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards via research process and phone verification. Meeting or exceeding monthly performance objectives.
Demonstrate the ability to spot opportunities to edit content, utilizing AP style, in a way that engages consumers.
Maintain objectivity while assessing content.
Record accurately and timely results from audits.
Execute professionalism, effective communication and collaboration with internal partners.
Provide constructive and actionable feedback to content contributors regarding quality expectations.
Communicate timely with internal departments to resolve uncovered concerns as they arise.
Timely reporting of escalations to Management.
Remain up to date with new standards and guidelines as they are announced to the department.
Present content standards to new hires within the business and findings of audits.
Focus on continuous improvement of workflows and processes to drive optimization and innovation in Content Quality.
Continued learning and development of your craft, including staying up to date on new techniques and technology.
Maintain the highest professional standards and promote our ethics of trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher required; ideally in journalism, communication, mass media or a related discipline
A track record of commitment to prior employers.
A portfolio showcasing your top work
At least 5 years of experience writing and/editing news stories, reviews, or commentary for a daily publication
Attention to detail, objectivity and the ability to think strategically
Proven ability to collect and analyze information through interviewing over phone
Ability to edit, command of AP Style, knowledge of SEO and social media best practices
Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
Proven ability of working under pressure, deadlines and performing to metrics/key performance indicators
Experience of accurately entering data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative setting
Ability to articulate content standards
Confident personality with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
High level of proficiency with CoStar Products
Professional editing experience
Experience running a copy desk and/or management
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, IE: Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition
Proficiency with internal systems and the ability to quickly learn new applications
Ability to plan and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
Ability to act on own initiative and work successfully alone
