Controller

Description We are in the process of hiring a Controller in Stuarts Draft, Virginia, United States. The Controller will be responsible for a range of accounting functions and financial analysis, and will play an instrumental role in leading the accounting department. This is a contract role that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidly expanding organization.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including auditing and budget processes Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for financial analysis and financial statement preparation Ensure the accurate and timely completion of month-end close procedures Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner Monitor the performance of the company and prepare financial reports Implement and adhere to internal financial and accounting controls and procedures Collaborate with other team members to manage and support all general ledger activities Analyze company financials and identify trends or issues that may impact business performance Ensure compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations Drive process improvements to optimize the company's financial performanceRequirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting Prior experience as a Controller role or similar capacity Extensive knowledge of accounting functions and financial analysis Experience in auditing and financial statement preparation Familiarity with budget processes and month-end close Exceptional analytical and decision-making abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or similar qualification preferred Demonstrated leadership abilities and capacity to oversee a team Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies and budgets.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
