About the Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated COSO and Compliance Analyst to support the ongoing process of effectively managing risks in the organization as they relate to the internal controls over financial reporting and other compliance activities. In this role you would gather and collate information, perform analysis, and prepare presentations and reports that support the Bank's senior management, and System work efforts related to risk management and COSO/SOX activities. In addition, you will perform annual training on the COSO process and complete the internal control testing or review the internal controls testing performed by others to ensure the supporting documentation supports the operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting and lastly, engage with the Bank's external auditor on controls testing.

What You Will Do:
  • Manages the coordination and perform essential tasks related to coordinating the Federal Reserve System`s Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) and COSO processes and facilitate testing of internal controls in Bank business and functional areas.
  • Supports the business lines with the planning, execution, and completion of management testing for Sarbanes-Oxley/COSO as well as other compliance activities.
  • Designs and delivers educational training or other materials in support of the annual COSO process.
  • Manages the development and facilitation of business line risk and fraud assessments, analyzing the results of the assessments, and tracking and reporting on progress of risk mitigation plans.
  • Manages the Entity Level Controls for the Bank through testing or reviewing testing completed by others.
  • Manages data within the Bank's Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) application
  • With minimal supervision, prepares comprehensive written talking notes, presentations and complex analyses for senior management and Audit Committee.
  • Supports the external auditor throughout the annual audit process, which may include performing ad hoc internal control testing or other special projects.
  • May be engaged in District and System workgroups, committees, and project teams.
  • Be an expert to business lines as a risk and controls specialist for ad hoc projects.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent is preferred.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise information and/or instruction to business lines and to facilitate a collaborative process.
  • Relevant experience working closely with a variety of different levels of constituents, including senior leadership.
  • Acute analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise information and/or instruction to key stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint along with various other online applications, as needed for the role.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders including Federal Reserve System staff

  • Job title (Senior Analyst or Advanced Analyst) and salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications/experience.
  • Senior Analyst hiring range: $77,200 - $96,500, annually
  • Advanced Analyst hiring range: $88,500 - $110,600, annually
