Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Business System Analyst II in Glen Allen, Virginia. This role primarily involves managing designated platforms, conducting needs assessments and cost/benefit analysis to align technology with business strategies, and converting requests into workable solutions that optimize business and end-user value. Responsibilities: Facilitate the translation of business requirements into technical requirements to guide the implementation of new systems, features, and enhancements Collaborate with vendors to ensure the system solution meets business requirements Engage with decision makers, system owners, and end users to help identify business, financial, and operational requirements and system goals Serve as the technical focal point for the business in the presentation of new systems/applications Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems or functionality for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow Develop and maintain design documentation, data flow diagrams, workflows, and document integration points between systems Provide system analysis expertise, focusing on gap identification, technical requirements, access framework, data flow, and operational process mapping Improve systems and operational workflows by studying current practices and designing modifications/enhancements Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems Actively participate in and lead system and unit testing for modified and new systems and provide post-implementation support. Requirements Exceptional customer service skills to deal with clients and stakeholders Ability to handle documentation for all business processes Understanding of operations and procedures in a business environment Strong research skills to identify solutions and improvements Capable of reviewing and improving existing business systems Proficiency in design and presentations for communicating ideas Familiarity with benefit functions in a business setting Experience in production environments, working with vendors and troubleshooting issues Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks as needed Experience in implementing and engineering new business systems Knowledge of best practices in business processes and systems Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders Ability to execute tasks efficiently and manage system upgrades Experience in the financial services sector would be beneficial Understanding of various frameworks used in business system analysis Degree in Computer Sciences or a related field would be advantageous Knowledge of business process functions and how they integrate with systems Ability to create a comprehensive business requirement document.
