This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.This role is located onsite at our TIAA office in Charlotte, NC, USA but will currently be remote.The anticipated term of this engagement will be 9 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.CW-Info Systems Engineer IVThe Engineering job designs information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems.Key Responsibilities and DutiesFormulates system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.

Evaluates and implements changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.

Reviews flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.

Reviews technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.

Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.

Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.

Educates end users on system designs and functionalities through creation of training materials and conducting demos.

Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems.

This position, with our Enterprise Data Movement Team has the responsibility of creating design specifications, perform unit testing and prepare technical documentation. You’ll manage the plans and technology roadmaps and provide third-level support for core hardware, software, data and infrastructure components within the EDM Team. The Software focus areas will include software infrastructure components, continuous improvement and automation related to middleware and enterprise data movement within a mission-critical, multi-site enterprise environment.The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology; possess the ability to create change, and be the facilitator for this transformation. They will have experience tailoring software design, developing and implementing of solutions in support of data quality and automation. They will need to understand the requirements of a project, test the performance of the infrastructure, and verify that the requirements have been successfully met.Responsibilities:Perform full-lifecycle software application development for the infrastructure platforms

Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation

Design, develop and implement solutions based on standards and processes that establish consistency across the enterprise data, reduce risks, and promote efficiencies in support of the organizational goals and objectives

Design, code and debug applications in various software languages

Perform analyses in the following areas: software, code and requirements, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analyses, and software reliability analyses

Perform Object-Oriented Design and Analysis (OOA & OOD)

Perform software modeling and simulation

Support, maintain and document software functionality

Integrate software and existing systems

Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues, restores services and performs root cause analyses

Documents the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures

Build, configure, patch and upgrade core infrastructure platforms

Participate in project level architecture governance to include the collaboration on and development of solution architectures and designs

Facilitate the review, vetting of these designs with the architecture governance bodies, as required

Mentor junior staff on architecture best practices, design patterns and reference architectures

Requirements:Core skills of administration and development of Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling File Gateway with a focus on Communication protocols.

Extensive scripting skills to enable automation of standard activities

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with Enterprise level data movement products

Experience with clustered/grid architectures and associated High Availability, workload management and Disaster Recovery practices

Minimum of 3 years’ experience using Java

Preferred Skills:Experience with Sterling Secure Proxy and Sterling Control Center

Master’s degree

Previous experience working in the financial services industry sector

Experience working in an Agile environment

ITIL experience or certification

Experience working with IBM Data Movement products

Project management experience

Strong communications skills, both verbal and written

Ability to facilitate meetings

Experience in development and administration utilizing Flink, Scala, JSON, MuleSoft, IBM Sterling Portfolio, and IBM Information Server

Experience working with Linux, AIX, Windows, and Mainframe Operating Systems,

Experience with Azure, z/OS, SMP/E

Experience with one of the following scripting languages: and tools: Ansible Tower, HTML, PHP, Python, Perl or JavaScript

Ability to communicate effectively (i.e. verbally & written)

Experience with Amazon (AWS) messaging services, (i.e. Kafka and Message Queues)
