Job Family :IT Cyber SecurityTravel Required :Up to 10%Clearance Required :Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do :The selected Cyber Engineer, will advise and provide technical support to a large federal agency as they mature their mobile device cyber practices. This includes evaluating technical solutions for mobile application vetting, mobile threat detection, enhanced identity and authentication, and integration with the organization's Mobile Device Management solution. The selected candidate's duties may include, but are not limited to:

Support market research and technology evaluations

Create architecture diagrams and facilitate discussions on implementation options.

Provide hands on support for deployment and on-going support of applications.

Review cybersecurity threats and policies to assess current technical portfolio.

Brief leadership and technical resources on approaches concerns, and technical areas.

Design, develop, deploy, document, and support the development of mobile device management/unified endpoint management/enterprise mobile management (MDM/UEM/EMM) security requirements per National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and applicable Department of Defense (DOD) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS)

Track and understand the Department’s mobile threat landscape, support mobile threat identification, vulnerability remediation, and reporting of current, developing, and potential future mobile threats.

Develop and support the development of mobile security strategies, policies, and risk profiles based on the department's enterprise mobile device management model.

Architect Mobile Threat Defense (MTD) and other Mobile Security solutions

Develop MTD planning, implementation, requirements gathering, vulnerability management, and network protection.

Act as a trusted advisor, advising on best practices for protecting mobile environments from threat vectors.

Conduct the evaluation of mobile application security requirements, mobile application shielding (threat-protection capabilities, such as jailbreak detection and debugger detection and the like), and mobile application wrapping (security capabilities, authentication, encryption, threat protection and the like).

Work with technical teams assisting with requirements definition, solution design, and technical architecture and delivery.

Work closely with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, perform security reviews, design top tier security practices, and deliver strategic innovative security offerings.

Define information security strategies, including guiding principles and future state vision, ensuring that the strategic objectives are aligned with the Department’s mission.

Demonstrate functional and hands-on technical competency with Mobile Security solutions.

Identify and define new process improvement opportunities.

What You Will Need :

US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Federal Public Trustwith the ability to obtain a Top Secret Federal Security Clearance

Over 6 years of designing highly complex IT systems

Experience deploying mobile security solutions: Mobile threat detection, mobile management (MDM/UEM/EMM)

Experience with Mobile Management solutions (Airwatch, InTune, etc)

Multifaceted experience working in cybersecurity

Ability to successfully work independently on program tasks with little to no supervision.

In-depth knowledge NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

In-depth knowledge NIST Risk Management Framework.

Expertise in tracking system Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements and maintaining system of record.

​ What Would Be Nice To Have :

An Active Top Secret Federal Security Clearance

Cybersecurity certifications (Security+, CISSP, CEH, etc)

Technical certifications (AWS, Azure, Microsoft, etc)

Experience supporting mobile security for large federal organizations.

Experience with Derived Credential (PIV-D) and other Identity Assurance Level (IAL) 3 implementations.

Experience integrating systems through vendor-available, or custom-coded API’s.

Experience evaluating mobile application security requirements, mobile application shielding (threat-protection capabilities, such as jailbreak detection and debugger detection and the like), and mobile application wrapping (security capabilities, authentication, encryption, threat protection and the like)
