Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a Data Architect .The Data Architect will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and overseeing conceptual and logical data systems for an Army customer at Fort Eustis, VA. Will prepare architectures, support information exchanges across Army systems, provide engineering, software architecture, software testing, and software deployment. The Data architect will facilitate the publishing and sharing of data with others in the Army, and will review data architectures already in place, and examine new data system requirements and implement cloud migration models. The Data Architect should have the following experience and skills:

  • Data analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Data visualization, data migration and data modeling, data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems
  • Identification of data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data management that is aligned with organizational data strategy
  • Coordination with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the data systems
  • Management of end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and developing the application to finally testing and implementing the proposed solution
  • Defining and managing the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organization
  • Integrating technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security
  • Conducting a continuous audit of data management system performance, refine whenever required, and report immediately any breach or loopholes to the stakeholders
  • Relational database management systems, DBMS software, including Database and cloud computing design, architectures, and data lakes
  • Machine learning, predictive modeling, and natural language processing
  • Data management and reporting technologies, predictive analytics, data visualization and unstructured data
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with several ongoing concurrent projects; able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good Interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of leadership
Desired experience includes the following:
  • Experience with cybersecurity efforts and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Experience with cloud migrations including inventory, assessment, and migration planning efforts
  • Experience with Azure and AWS cloud solutions and environments
  • Expertise in SQL and Oracle
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, SAP BO)
Security Clearance, Education, & Certification Requirements:
  • MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE; this will be verified prior to interview. Therefore, s can be considered for this position.
  • Bachelor s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or other closely related discipline and 10+ years of relevant experience OR MA/MS Degree and 12+ years of experience
  • Must have IAT III certification: CASP+ CE, or CCNP Security, or CISA, or CISSP (or Associate), or GCED IH
