AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in Hyperscale Data Centers to act as Data Center Electrical Engineer Lead. The job incumbent will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems in large scale data centers. This position is based in Arlington, VA.The Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience working with high-density data centers.Responsibilities:Design and implement electrical systems for hyperscale data centers, including medium and low voltage power distribution, backup power systems, and emergency systemsDevelop and maintain electrical schematics, bills of materials, and installation drawingsEnsure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, including National Electric Code (NEC) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standardsCollaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to develop specifications, design criteria, and project budgetsAnalyze electrical systems to identify and resolve issues, including load balancing, capacity planning, and power consumption optimizationMonitor and maintain the electrical systems, including performing preventative maintenance, testing, and repairsDevelop and implement electrical safety procedures and training programs for technicians and other staffStay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering and data center technologies, and recommend new technologies to improve the reliability and efficiency of our data center infrastructure AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture.  With a range of expertise from strategy and design through project realization, we create better outcomes to grow economies, protect natural systems, conserve natural resources, make societies more equitable, and connect and engage people through innovative, sustainable design solutions.  Our teams have worked on signature projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Park and Legacy Framework, to the new plan for the LA2028 Olympics, to industrial facilities for GE and Rolls-Royce, to headquarters and workplaces for NASA, Unilever, Sony Music, DirecTV, Box, Inc., and many Fortune 500 companies.
