Job Description and Duty Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Networking Protocols
    • BGP, TCP/IP, IPSec, UDP, GRE, VRF, dot1q

  • Network Equipment:
    • Cisco routers: ASR 1001,
    • Cisco switches: 6500, 6800, Nexus 9K
    • Cisco Firewall: 5585X, Cisco Firepower FMC
  • Network Technology:
    • Involved in design and implementation of Data Center migration, working knowledge on implementation strategies for the expansion/activation of MPLS networks and VRF-lite
    • Maintained security policies including NAT, VPN and Secure Remote access
    • Experienced working with ASR 1001 series switches with IOS-XR
    • Experienced working with design and deployment of MPLS involving VRF, BGP activation and troubleshooting
    • Experienced working with deployment and migration of IPSEC L2L tunnels on Cisco ASA platform

Duties:

  • Coordinate and execute circuit (MPLS or point-to-point) and L2L IPSEC VPN migrations for existing customers
  • Deliver technical customer support over the phone and WebEx, understands support processes
  • Create, document, and escalate issues and problems according to ticketing standards and SLAs
  • Perform remote scheduled maintenance with clients
  • Work with project managers and lead engineers to ensure project schedules are being met.
  • Ambitious and goal oriented, with initiative to work until job is complete
  • Ability to work in fast paced environments and adapt quickly to changing situations
  • Perform documentation of projects and migration tasks
  • Team oriented but must be able to work independently.
Education and Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in supporting complex networks and/or providing technical support

Additional Requirements Ability to schedule for evening or weekend work occasionally
