Data Mover Support/Data Management Tech
Job Category: Engineering and Technical SupportTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: SecretEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: LocalWhat You'll Get to Do:- Candidate will be responsible for collecting and documenting receipt of all data processing from LCS land- and ship-based test events, as requested;
- Processing collected data into a database; as well as creating, documenting, and sending any required, outgoing media to multiple sites.
- Collect, process, store and archive all incoming LCS land- and ship-based test event data received from secure networks and/or hard media according to government and security policies and procedures;
- Import and maintain processed data into a database for data analysis;
- Document and maintain records of all incoming and outgoing data transmissions;
- Maintain the LCS Data Management Standard Operating Procedure (SOP);
- Maintain file retention records including archive and restore data;
- Create, document, and send any outgoing media to multiple sites, as required
- Bachelor of Science in Math, Computer Science or Engineering field
- Basic working knowledge of Unix, Linux, and Windows Operating System (OS); Microsoft (MS) Office Tools (Word, Excel); MATLAB; Python; MySQL database; various Media types (Linear Tape Open (LTO), 4mm tape, USB Hard Drives, DVD, CD);
- Handling procedures for all non-classified/classified media, systems, and communications systems;
- Some knowledge of USPS, FEDEX, UPS package pick-up, transport, and delivery tracking and handling procedures (tracking numbers, transmittals).
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and with team members to identify and resolve issues
- Candidate must have ability to attain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Ability to work non-standard hours on occasion
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting;
- Attention to details (meticulous);
