Maxar's Data Science Services team is looking for a Data Scientist. We use a robust, flexible framework developed by our Applied Machine Learning team to deliver impactful and imaginative solutions to our internal and external partners. - You'll be creating bespoke AI/ML customer solutions using Maxar's Applied Machine Learning Technology Stack.
- You'll be discovering new and innovative features to add to the Applied Machine Learning Technology Stack so that it continues to cater to a wide customer base.
- We work in a very Lean-Agile environment without the overhead associated with traditional Scrum. We've eliminated unnecessary development meetings and we love it!
- You'll collaborate with our geographically dispersed team primarily via Zoom & Slack.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Systems Engineering, etc.), or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of data science-related experience.
- Strong Python skills.
- Modeling, analysis, and/or hypothesis testing using statistical techniques and data visualization.
- Recent experience with some of the following technologies:
- AWS/C2S/S3;
- PyTorch;
- GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph (preferred but not required).
- Experience with satellite imagery and/or aerial imagery and general mapping.
- Experience with 3D and elevation data.
- Experience with QGIS or similar technologies.
- Experience with PyTorch Lightning, GraphQL.
- Experience with Kubeflow / MLflow.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Systems Engineering, etc.), or equivalent experience.
- Strong background in remote sensing or computer vision.
- Knowledge of Design Thinking principles.
