• SQL database development experience in a VLDBs and multi-server production environment, current experience with SQL 2012/2014/2016/2019.
• Provides level (I) user support to internal and external clients; troubleshoots and resolves database connectivity issues and escalates issues when necessary
• Creates basic applications; handles unique ad hoc requests
• Ensures adherence to disaster recovery and backup schedules; ensures backups take place and resolves any backup/restore failures.
• Handles server restarts on set schedules
• Handles user access request, grants and appropriate access level
• Excellent analysis skills, ability to research and analyze various different types of data information.
• Communicate effectively and maintain honest and open communication at all times with individuals at all levels internally.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours (if necessary) to accomplish business objectives.
• The nature of the team's dynamics will require an individual that is able to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members, as well as complete tasks individually as assigned.
• Ability to identify system level bottlenecks in the database and recommended solutions.

• BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 2-4 years of database administration experience of SQL servers
• Solid ability to write TSQL queries and to work with SQL Server Databases and Stake Holders
• Understanding of database administration, architecture and infrastructure
• Willingness to provide after-hour and weekend support if needed
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be able to analyze problems and provide workable solutions
