Database IT Support Technician (MEDCOM-22-0821-W): Bowhead seeks a Database IT Support Technician to support the Office of the Surgeon General/US Army Medical Command Disability Evaluation System (OTSG/ MEDCOM DES) contract in Falls Church, VA. The Database IT Support Technician will provide daily IT support to the DES SL, which supports 36 facilities. The Database IT Support Technician must trouble shoot and improve data tracking assets in standard Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel applications to facilitate data input, data quality verification, and report and query functions. Databases shall be developed as required by the Government in order to facilitate tracking of IDES cases metrics at MTF level. Other duties to include: • Provide MTF metrics results for weekly MEDCOM/OTSG meetings using SMS software tool. • Provide technical support to update SMS databases on a weekly basis to provide the DES SL with a locally developed access-reporting tool that works in accordance with SMS and metric driven initiatives. • Make monthly updates and ensure the data integrity of the Temporarily Disability Retirement List Analyzer (TDRL-A) database. • Present data in various forums such as: Readiness and Health (R&H), (formerly Regional Analysis Discussion and Review (RADaR)), Review of Army Medicine Programs (RAMP), Campaign Assessment Board (CAB) and others. These Forums meet on a monthly basis and possibly quarterly.
