Location: Arlington VA 22202 Job Summary: The position is for a Deputy PM and Business Analyst who will work with end users, subject matter experts, and a software development team to manage the delivery of enhancements and bug fixes within an agile sprint based Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Candidate should have experience coordinating stakeholders while writing and managing requirements and test cases for Agile Software development projects. The position supports the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, whose mission is the historical research, physical recovery, and scientific identification of Missing U.S. Servicemembers from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and other conflicts. Formal education or personal interest in US military history is a plus, as the candidate will have the opportunity to work with military historians and support their research on a daily basis. T

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading meetings with end users and stakeholders to document business requirements. Triaging and translating business requirements into technical requirements. Leading the writing of artifacts including requirements, manuals, guides and other software related documentation.
  • Works closely with users to build User Stories and Test Cases. Works with project teams through the design, development, and test stages to ensure adherence to standards. Serves as a lead analyst to the team in the decomposition of complex business or technical issues into discrete taskings.
  • Ensures adherence to Information Technology project management methodologies; plans projects and provides labor and schedule estimates to management.
  • Should have 2-5 years of experience or education on evaluating and managing business systems and user requirements. Must be able to write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify software applications. Strong experience with documentation on software development projects
  • Requirements analysis supporting development of test cases, test plans and test execution, tracking of defects and reporting of results. Experience working with engineers to document and resolve issues.
  • A working knowledge of common software architectures, cybersecurity practices, as well as current trends in cloud computing and data analytics.
  • Any experience within the Department of Defense is a plus, as is a personal interest in US Military History.

Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 25 lbs.
