The Deputy Safety Service Patrol (SSP) Manager supports the Regional SSP Manager in the strategic, administrative, and operational oversight of the Safety Service Patrol program. This role bridges the gap between field supervision and executive program leadership, ensuring regional consistency, procedural integrity, and operational excellence. The Deputy SSP Manager serves as the acting SSP Manager in their absence, and plays a lead role in managing documentation, internal processes, compliance, and personnel development.Primary Responsibilities:Serve as second-in-command to the SSP Manager, assuming full managerial responsibilities during absences.Provide administrative oversight of personnel records, incident documentation, training compliance, shift reports, vehicle/equipment tracking, and inventory audits.Ensure timely and accurate completion of SSP documentation, reports, logs, and other administrative deliverables.Lead cross-shift coordination to standardize operations and communication protocols across the region.Monitor adherence to policies and procedures and provide guidance to supervisors and field staff on documentation and compliance requirements.Support operational planning, budgeting, and resource allocation activities by maintaining detailed logs and analysis of usage, maintenance, and incident data.Oversee escalated personnel matters, including performance plans, coaching, and progressive discipline documentation.Mentor SSP Supervisors and Leads on supervisory responsibilities, administrative expectations, and professional development.Lead the preparation and submission of regional program metrics, dashboards, and executive briefings.Support recruitment, onboarding, and shift scheduling efforts in collaboration with the SSP Manager.Coordinate field operations with Traffic Operations Center (TOC) staff during major incidents, planned events, and emergency activations.Represent the SSP program during inter-agency meetings, preparedness exercises, and external stakeholder engagements.Ensures, directly and through subordinates, that projects are completed on time and to company standards.

Provides periodic progress reports to senior management. 

Has financial and project management responsibilities for the project.

Responsible for the creation of work plans and task definitions, oversees data collection and develops solutions to business/client problems with a focus on financial analysis and improvement. 

May provide solutions to business/client challenges developed from a foundation of understanding or analysis of business practices and goals. 

May lead/mentor team of consultants and/or other staff.
