As a key member of the Design Engineering team, the Design Architect - Cyber Security supports our customers with their security maturity and journey. This includes the process to implement and mature their internal security posture and tool implementation, including understanding of frameworks, documentation requirements, security tools, policies, and processes to protect sensitive information and monitoring technology around the infrastructure and systems hosting the environments.Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the security industry and how to position the value of Red River’s services combined with our focus OEM partner products and services. This has a strong focus on security frameworks and compliance environments across the combination or people, process, and technology.Responsibilities:
Architecting and Designing cybersecurity systems and solutions addressing networking, computing, and software environments
Lead cybersecurity architecture efforts in support of Red River Functional Growth Areas
Assisting architects and systems developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate cybersecurity functionality to support security policy and federate with enterprise solutions
Assessing current/forecasted customer demand to identify, innovate, design, and build strategies around new cybersecurity offerings
Support sales as a Security SME to advise clients on applicable security solution technology, practices, and managed services
Supporting development and documentation of reference architectures and lab demonstrations of architectures, approaches, and solutions x
Creating Statement of Work and RFx responses aligned with customer security objectives and requirements
Assessing, recommending, and integrating new/additional/emerging capabilities from partners community to evolve/expand Red River’s Zero Trust partner landscape
Providing expert knowledge for the development of cybersecurity architecture designs to optimize effectiveness across all aspects of cybersecurity
Performing / reviewing technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established cybersecurity standards and regulations, and recommend strategies to address, mature, and optimize the security posture
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years’ hands-on experience in a pre-sales role aligned to a sales team selling or positioning customer security architectures and solutions. Customer-side equivalent experience will be considered
Ability to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of security industry and trends such as Zero Trust Architectures (including the various models (CISA, DISA, GSA, etc.), the pillars and outcomes); Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA); Secure Access Service Edge (SASE); etc.
In depth understanding of vendor portfolios and their alignment to security frameworks, architectures, and mission outcomes (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, Z-Scaler, etc.)
Recognized as a subject matter expert architecting cybersecurity solutions
Advanced written and verbal communication skills; Able to communicate effectively with both executive and technical audiences
Active SECRET clearance and able to obtain/maintain Top Secret or higher
Desired Qualifications:
Basic scripting skills, Python is a plus
CCIE Security, CISSP certification or GIAC / SANS-type training courses related to the job role a plus
ITILv4 Foundation certification
