Job Description

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

Our Single-Family Technology team is looking for a DevOps Manager to lead CICD release management processes using the latest industry-wide tools to support business capabilities. In this role, you will be accountable for all the technical decisions, roadmaps, and deliverables that impact our critical application priorities.

We are looking for a strong and experienced leader with a deep technical understanding of DevOps, Cloud/AWS, and Agile methodologies who can effectively lead us to our target state. You will be managing and leading the adoption and maturation of the changes you would help define. You will be collaborating extensively with Product Owners, Development Managers, Software Engineers, and SDETs to ensure business capabilities are implemented as planned.

Minimum Required Experiences
  • 6+ years' experience leveraging DevOps and building CI/CD pipelines using tools like Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, Gitlab, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation templates
  • Experience as a DevOps Manager with demonstrated experience leading distributed teams
  • Experience driving continuous delivery practices with extensive usage of terraform and Kubernetes as hands on architect in larger organizations
  • Deep knowledge with hands on experience in building applications on AWS public cloud with cloud native design, microservice architecture and containerization
  • Demonstrated experience building strong working relationships with Senior management across various functions
  • Experience leading teams through Cloud adoptions including strong familiarity with AWS
  • A technology leader who can build and grow high performing agile teams
  • Able to collaborate cross-functionally with the business and technical teams to influence certain business/technology outcome
  • Experience leading and managing large-scale software engineering projects involving design, architecture, and coding on cloud, preferably AWS
  • Experience developing, influencing, and implementing long-term staffing strategy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Lead cross-departmental process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Own and manage execution for parts or all of DevOps engineering projects.
  • Manage the timely resolution of the most critical and/or complex issues.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts across the release lifecycle to obtain input and support for planned DevOps engineering activities.
  • Recommend opportunities to gain alignment between IT operations and the business.
  • Experience defining and managing changes to documents, code, computer programs, websites, and other files to enable collaboration and ensure teams are working from the latest version
  • Experience using software and computer systems' architectural principles to integrate enterprise computer applications such as xMatters, AWS Application Integration, or WebSphere
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining consistency of a product's performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information
  • The group of skills related to Governance and Compliance including creating policies, evaluating compliance, conducting internal investigations, developing data governance, etc.
  • Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action
  • Expertise in developing websites for hosting via intranet or Internet, which may also include web design, web content development, scripting, and/or network security configuration
  • The group of skills related to Security including designing and evaluating security systems, identifying security threats, securing computers, assessing vulnerability, etc.
  • The group of skills related to Business Insight including advising, designing business models, interpreting customer and market insights, forecasting, benchmarking, etc.

  • Ability to transform business processes using BPA, RPA, or other technology-enabled automation
  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
  • Skilled in creating and managing databases with the use of relevant software such as MySQL, Hadoop, or MongoDB
  • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
  • Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Crystal Reports, Excel, or SSRS
  • Expertise in service management concepts for networks and related standards such as ITIL practices or SDLC
  • Focused experience in artificial intelligence (AI), including machine learning and natural language processing (NLP)
  • Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
