All religious, medical, or other legally recognized exemptions regarding vaccination status will be considered Job SummaryJoin a talented group of over 60 dietitians at the University of Virginia Health System in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia. At this level one trauma center, dietitians play an integral role on multidisciplinary teams in many specialty areas, both in the 600 bed inpatient setting, as well in over 35 outpatient clinics. RDs participate in research and quality improvement projects, host dietetic interns, and are supported in pursuing leadership and community service experiences. Continuing education opportunities are plentiful from within the accomplished nutrition team and from the health system which values ongoing training and education.Genetics/Metabolic RDThis position will be 40 hr/wk in Genetics. Offering opportunities for professional growth, this position will work closely with genetic physicians, genetic counselors, as well as one other RD to manage patients of all ages with inborn errors of metabolism. Experience working with metabolic disorders is not essential, but experience working with both adults and pediatrics is desired.Qualifications:Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board, in states where required

One (1) year of hospital experience, preferred

Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming
