PURPOSE:Responsible for P&L of products in portfolio across lines of business. Leads product strategy and optimizes portfolio. Leads transformational growth of products to achieve business objectives while maintaining a serious consideration of the financial implications, marketing needs, and the overall objectives of the business. Leads a team of portfolio and product managers. This position will be responsible for working with business leadership to assess and define product strategy and then coordinating and managing the product portfolio to execute on that strategy through all stages of the product life cycle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assess and present on product opportunities and industry trends in the healthcare/health insurance space. Collaborate with leadership to define the company's product vision and product differentiation strategy. Create and maintain product roadmaps. Manage and monitor the product life cycle by collaborating with Sales, Technology, Operations, and Marketing teams.
  • Develops strategic roadmaps and monitors portfolio performance. Keeps management advised on portfolio progress against goals, potential issues, obstacles, conflicts or challenges. Identifies barriers to project success negotiates through barriers with major stakeholders to keep progress on track.
  • Actively leverage research, industry, and customer insights trends, and the competitive landscape in the healthcare/health insurance space. Work closely with stakeholders to optimize product portfolio using quantitative and qualitative metrics, SWOT analysis, and business direction.
  • Provide leadership team(s) of experienced product managers, analysts and project managers responsible for corporate products. Oversee team member execution of product management responsibilities. Provide guidance and mentoring in areas that need improvement by sharing expertise and experience. Optimize and evaluate the performance of the Product Management teams based on KPIs, goals, and feedback from teams throughout the company.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:This position manages people.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree inMarketing, Business or related field OR inlieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience:
  • 8 years progressively responsible product management experience.
  • 3 years management experience.

Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
