E&I Maintenance Supervisor - West Point, VACareer Opportunity:Primarily responsible for supervising electrical and instrumentation technicians for the Power and Recovery areas of the mill. This includes two recovery boilers, two power boilers, two lime kilns and four turbine generators. This position is responsible for: the safety, training and assignment of work for E&I technicians; maintenance spending (along with the other members of the maintenance and operations teams); technicians conducting themselves in accordance with all corporate, division and mill rules and procedures; adhering to and promoting established Work Management process; maintaining the equipment in the area in such a way that the equipment has the maximum possible uptime at the lowest possible cost. Expected to lead troubleshooting efforts when needed on the equipment in his/her area. What you need to succeed:

Experience in a manufacturing leadership role required.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred (engineering or technology arena), ten years or more of supervisory experience in Paper Industry will also be considered.

Model safe work practices and behaviors in all you do. Working knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC.

Proven Leadership skills in developing strategies to attain performance objectives required.

Experience using Reliability tools such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) preferred.

Experience or working knowledge of PdMA or Baker motor testing.

Transformer Doble and oil analysis.

Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S.

Solid PLC and DCS background (Rockwell, Honeywell, Valmet).

VFD AC and DC drive experience (GE, Toshiba, Rockwell).

Competent using OSIsoft Pi data historian.

Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Support E&I related capital projects

Safety:Supervisor adheres to all mill safety rules, participates in or may lead safety programs and meetings with the goal of improving safety at the mill. Supports the mill safety programs.

Leads by example

Demonstrates active caring for employees

Conducts Safety Observation Tours and Safety Audits

Conducts incident analysis on all accidents- Ensures corrective actions are implemented

Enforces Safety Rules

Plans for emergencies

Ensures personal protective equipment is utilized properly

Conducts regular safety meetings / communications

Ensures employees receive all safety training

Ensures Safe Operating Practices are reviewed with employees

Participates in Electrical Safe Work Practices committee
