Job Summary: Serves as application administrator for Electronic Data Interchange EDI. Provides technical support for internal and external EDI business partners. Assists in the onboarding of suppliers to the EDI program. Acts as a liaison between suppliers Systems Administrators Database Administrators.

Duties and Responsibilities: Incumbents of this position must be U.S. Citizens. - Monitor mailbox, transaction and transmission of EDI documents - Set up trading partnership in EDI and UNIX - Create and maintain maps and trading partnerships - Create, modify and maintain EDI transactions documents and oracle scripts. - Install and configures software. - Set/manager application parameters for all retail systems. - Point of contact between application vendors, database administrators and systems administrators for application functionality and configuration. - Monitor, coordinate and install vendor provided applications software releases and patches. - Troubleshoot technical applications problems and coordinate resolution of problems with other support groups. - Assist in the implementation of security strategy for the application-based requirements. - Monitor applications for performance problems and coordinate resolutions with other support groups. - Obtain regular processing reports to check for errors, assess/analyze errors and distinguish between database, application and customized application problems. - Ensure/implement the rigorous application of Information Security/Information Assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of Systems, Applications and/or Services (Hardware & Software). - Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 3 yrs EDI technical experience 2-3 yrs EDI mapping experience 2-3 yrs UNIX shell scripting experience Information Assurance Workforce Certifications (IAM1 jobs): SECNAV M-5239.2, DoN, Information Assurance (IA) Workforce Manual requires incumbents of this position to possess, and maintain current, one of the following Certifications: GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF), GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC), Security , or one of the following higher level certifications: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), NEXCOM preferred certification is Security Candidates without the required certification may be placed into this job, but must obtain the required certification within 6 months of appointment; failure to obtain this requirement will result in termination of employment. This position is designated IT-2 (Non-critical Sensitive) in accordance with SECNAV M-5510.30 and will require a favorable Access National Agency Check and Inquiries (ANACI).Qualified candidates must be U.S. Citizens.

EXPERIENCE CONSISTING OF THE FOLLOWING: GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience in administrative, technical or investigative work that demonstrates the ability and aptitudes required to perform technical, managerial and/or analytical work involving management information systems.

OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: One year of related academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor's degree for 3 years of general experience.

AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 3 YEARS PROGRESSIVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING: • EDI technical experience to include ability to read and understand EDI data formats and structures such as X12, EDIFACT, XML, flat files, etc. • Knowledge and experience with EDI interface types such as VPN, VAN, SFTP, etc. • EDI mapping experience • Experience with Unix shell scripting • Understands writing logic and data manipulation • Business and systems design and implementation. • Standard development processes, operating systems, database languages, and programming languages and tools. • Software release management toolset
