Job Description: The Electrical Engineer will function as a member of the Engineering department and will develop, maintain, and support Flowserve electrical and electronic products. The Electrical Engineer will handle various initiatives including: designing new products and features for embedded and electrical controls, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software problems, and providing engineering support for other departments, vendors, and customers.

The Electrical Engineer can office in either Lynchburg, VA or Springville, UT.

Requirements Responsibilities:
  • Active member of multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously across local and global teams.
  • Electronics design and development including analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, functional validation, and agency certification.
  • Conduct in-house EMC, temperature, performance testing and coordinate testing with 3 rd party labs.
  • Analysis and troubleshooting of embedded microcontroller electronics, analog and digital I/O interfaces, various power electronics (power supply and motor power drive), and industrial network communications.
  • Embedded firmware and application software design and development awareness.
  • Work with other cross discipline team members to package electronics designs in actuator products.
  • Maintain BOMs for all electronic printed circuit boards (PCB) currently in production. This includes resolving parts obsolescence, component analysis, component testing, and finding cost reductions.
  • Thoroughly documenting projects, designs, test procedures, test results, etc.
Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering. Electrical Engineering applicants must have some embedded software background. Computer Engineering applicants must have strong electrical background.
  • 5 years of experience minimum with electrical/electronic design or analysis.
  • Experience with test automation and scripting. Preferably LabVIEW knowledge
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • 0-15% Occasional domestic or international travel.
