Electrical/ Computer Engineer to work in our

Chantilly, VA office.

Job Description:
  • Design circuit and system-level solutions to meet new requirements and for new products and capabilities
  • Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing systems to meet changing user requirements.
  • Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guides, etc.
  • Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications.
  • Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for new development projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations to support and enhance existing systems.
  • Occasional travel, up to 25%, several times a year to support installations and testing

Required Skills:
  • Current SECRET security clearance required.
  • BS in EE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or 5 years of relevant electronic/computer field-service support.
  • Use of Test Equipment such as: Modulation Analyzer, Audio Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Multi-meter, Waveform/Frequency Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, PNA, Power Meter, Frequency Counter and Logic Analyzers.
  • Participate in small multi-discipline teams to achieve project goals
  • Perform analyses to support derivation of specification-based customer requirements
  • RTL development utilizing hardware description language (VHDL (preferred), Verilog, and/or System Verilog) and debug via simulation tools.
  • Develop verification plans to support development.
  • Support technical reviews and be able to present to internal and external customers.

Desired Skills:
  • Familiar with communications over networks and interfaces with clients and servers.
  • Experience in electronic circuit analysis, design applications and compilers such as MATLAB, Mentor Graphics PADS, PSPICE, AutoCAD, Keysight Genesys or ADS, ModelSim, ISE, etc.
  • Experience with VHDL programming, synthesis, and compiling tools (Altera/Intel and Xilinx)
  • Software Programming Languages: Python, C/C
  • Operating Systems: Windows, Linux
  • Experience in developing interfaces and APIs
  • Experience in FPGA optimization techniques
  • Experience or education in radio frequency circuit design and analysis
  • Experience working with Flight Termination System hardware
