The Opportunity: American Girl is searching for an experienced Employment Manager reporting to the Sr Manager Human Resources.  This position is located in our Washington DC Retail location. This location for American Girl offers a quintessential American Girl Experience including a Bistro and Doll Hair Salon Immersion Experiences. This individual will also have employment management responsibilities for American Girl Retail locations in Charlotte, NC and Nashville, TN.What Your Impact Will Be: This individual manages employee relations, at times in partnership with Mattel’s Employee Relations center of excellence, including all information gathering and problem resolution, involving all levels of management as necessary.Provides coaching, counseling, and guidance to all levels of personnel in order to build skill levels and enhance personal development.Ensures that policies and procedures are consistently administered and adhered to with an end result of achieving excellent customer service. Manages the employment process for all variable and hourly positions with the creation of effective recruiting/advertising campaigns. Recommends training and assists with strategic planning that directly affect the AG Place hourly population.Instrumental in leading teams responsible for employee activities. Responsible, in part, for recruiting and employee activities budget.
