Performs and/or reviews engineering calculations related to asset performance including thermal and efficiency analyses. Resolves and initiates solutions to routine and/or moderately complex problems which usually require additional definition/clarification before analysis can begin. Identifies problems that are beyond the normal routine. Ability to address issues applying analytical and abstract thinking.Business Acumen: Capable of understanding station budget cycles, produce calculations describing the cost of running stations such as startup costs, fuel consumption cost etc. Analyzes and recommends enhancements to business processes.Leadership and Guidance:Coordinates work within the work group, department, or other corporate entities as necessary to perform routine engineering work. Seeks out opportunities and embrace new ideas and approaches. Uses independent judgment in prioritizing and making moderately complex adaptations and modifications. Ability to resolve problems and process information quickly, as well as balancing multiple tasks simultaneouslyCommunication Skills: Proficient in oral, written communication (including technical writing) and group presentation skills. Serve as liaison between stations and corporate departments.More specifically the job functions will require:Working knowledge ASR, EtaPro, OSI Pi, pGADS and eDart is preferable.Relocation may be considered.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceThe knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:ENGINEER II: 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.ENGINEER III: 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.

Passed Fundamentals of Engineering.

Preferred, Professional Engineering license.

Strong Computer Skills.

Knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals.

Requires developmental experience in a professional engineering position.

Competency in applying engineering principles, fundamental concepts, practices and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives.

Ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs

Planning, organizational and project management skills.

Ability to develop and exercise leadership skills.

Effective decision-making skills.

Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).

Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.

Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and practices.

Equally effective working independently or in a team environment.

Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks.

ASR, SAP and OSI Pi software experience required.

Experience interacting with Dominion IT Department preferred.

Experience in Power Generation required.

Possess a 4-year engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited program and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or

Possess a 4-year degree in Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technology and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET
