If you answered “yes,” then read on!We offer a hybrid work schedule (one week in the office, one week of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer nor sponsor a work visa for this position.Job SummaryLevel 1Focus on maintaining the operational model of our Distribution, Substation, and Transmissions systems, using a variety of information systems, such as ADMS-Monarch, NMS, TRS, and other operation technologiesSupport the ADMS model, including simple dSCADA database edits, NMS model promotion, and ad-hoc model edits from Regional Operating Centers and field personnelEngage and communicate with other Power Delivery groups including Distribution Operations, Planning, GIS, System Operations Center, Substation, and Data Communications.Level 2All previous level activities andProvide comprehensive support of complex dSCADA database changes, alarm configurations, and frame editsImplement and update Distribution Operations Centers contingency plansReview business processes, associated documentation, and training for Distribution Operations CentersImplements technology with an engineering fieldProvides technical support and assistance in analyzing and evaluating systems, equipment, and programsLevel 3All previous level activities andDevelop strategic plans and initiatives to grow the ADMS platform and business processesDevelops and support layers of capabilities on the Operational Model for stakeholders in the Distribution and System Operating Centers.Lead small projects or initiativesManage workload / schedule of other team membersPlans and conducts work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteriaDevises innovative approaches to problems encountered and develops engineering criteria ensuring compliance with design criteria and standardsFocuses on the practical application of engineering theories; determine how to make the designs and plans of engineer workMay perform product improvement, testing, field engineering, development, manufacturing, construction, system development, quality control, and operation engineering.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceLevel 1 0-2+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated competencies in applicable discipline. Basic knowledge of engineering principles, theories, and practices Provides clear, concise, and consistent communication skills including technical writing Ability to function effectively independently and as a member on a technical teamLevel 2 3+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated competencies in applicable discipline Familiarity of current or future operations technology solutions such as NMS, TRS, dSCADA, etc. General understanding of engineering principles, theories, and practices Effective oral, written, and graphical communication skills including technical writing Ability to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments Ability to receive instructions and guidance on unusual or complex problemsLevel 3 5+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated competencies in applicable discipline. Extensive prior experience in the use of and/or support of current or future operations technology solutions such as NMS, TRS, dSCADA, etc. Ability to design system, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly defined engineering problems appropriate to discipline Proficient personal computer skills including knowledge of applicable software programs. Ability to indemnify and use appropriate technical literature Ability to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments; Ability to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes.
