HII Mission Technologies is seeking Engineers for our HII Integrated Product Support (IPS) in Hampton, VA, assisting senior level Designers and Engineers in the creation of Hull, Mechanical and/or Electrical modification drawings for various Navy/Army/Coast Guard ships. This is an excellent opportunity for graduating college seniors or recent graduates interested in an entry level Engineer position. The selected student must be in good academic standing and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

What You Will Do

Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.

What You Must Have

  • 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field
  • Candidate must be a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or graduating college senior who is in good academic standing and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program is required prior to starting employment.
  • Candidate will also be required to provide a copy of their transcript confirming successful completion of Bachelor's degree prior to start.
  • Experience in utilizing industry-Current engineering design and analytical or modeling software
  • Have experience with AutoCAD, Inventor and/or other model programs.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD secret clearance.
  • Be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suit (Word, Excel, OneNote, Access)
  • Be a US Citizen

Bonus Points For Having!

  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding and/or naval vessels
  • Some intern technical background in shipbuilding disciplines of HVAC/Piping and/or Structure/outfitting.

Physical Requirements

Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
