Ramboll is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Scientist to join the firm’s Arlington, VA office.  We invite you to bring your strong technical abilities into play as you support natural resource delineation, habitat assessment, and permitting on a variety of linear infrastructure and site development projects.To succeed in this role, you must have a Master of Science in Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Biology, Ecology or other related fields with direct experience in leading natural resource field efforts. For this role, we are looking for someone with 3-5 years of relevant work experience specifically in conducting wetland delineation, stream assessment, perennial stream determination, habitat evaluation, threatened/endangered species surveys, forest stand delineation. Click the apply button to send your application!Join Ramboll Environment & HealthAs our new Environmental Scientist, you will be part of a dynamic team providing state-of-the-art scientific, technical, and strategic assistance to an international client base. You will split your time between office-based work, including reviewing project-related materials and writing reports, and site visits (including some local/regional travel). Depending on your areas of focus, your key tasks and responsibilities may include:Conducting natural resource assessments, including wetland delineations, using appropriate state and/or Federal delineation methodologiesPreparing reports to document fieldworkPreparing environmental impact assessment reportsPreparing permit applicationsSampling environmental mediaProviding regular and consistent communications to managers, clients, regulators and project staff on key issues and developmentsImplementing field projects, including environmental surveys and sampling.Travel to industrial, commercial and undeveloped facilities for site visits (typically 1-2 days in duration), including both local and non-local travel.Supporting multiple projects and meeting high quality standards on project deliverables.Required Qualifications: Your starting point for constant growthFrom the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:Candidates must have a BA/BS or MS in Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, biology, ecology or other environmentally related field from an accredited institution and have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental consulting.  Master’s degrees are strongly preferred.USACE wetland delineation training (or equivalent)40-hr HAZWOPER training desiredWillingness/ability to travel up to 40% of the time on average during the year and possess a valid driver’s license. Travel may include overnight stay and may be out of state.
