ERP Test Lead

What you'll get to do:

-Leads an integrated test team to perform the following activities in support of the testing function:
  • Organizes and controls the testing process
  • Supports visibility and traceability of the testing process
  • Plans, prepares, manages and reports progress on the test activities and deliverables pertaining to Product Level Test (PLT) and Developer's Integration Test (DIT)
  • Assigns and manages the testing resources
  • Identifies appropriate test measurements, publishes test metrics, and reports on test status
  • Reviews detailed test plans
  • Liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis, and builds and maintains trusted relationships

Participates in other program working groups and IPTs to ensure testing requirements are addressed as needed

Reviews test scenarios and test scripts

Monitors and manages requirements traceability to test cases, to ensure coverage for full system integration test

Ensures that functional and technical requirements are met through system testing, regression testing, performance testing, system interface testing, and security testing activities

Develops a framework for automated testing using HP Quality Center/HP ALM

Oversees functional administration, configuration, and utilization of testing tools

Assists in the development and maintenance of the Test Management Plan (TMP) that defines the approach, processes, and procedures that integrates with and supports the Government's Integrated Test and Evaluation (T&E) approach and Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)

-Reviews and evaluates complex test specifications, test results, test trends and implements corrective action as needed

-Coordinates the resolution of problems inhibiting test progress

-Reviews customer requirements and specifications to ensure that tests will confirm that these are satisfied

-Provides expert level guidance to less advanced engineers and may serve as a team lead on specific projects
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using Microsoft Project, and track milestones and deliverables.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members, including contractors

Qualifications you'll bring
  • 10+ years as a Software Test Engineer
  • Certified Professional Software Tester (ISTQB, CSTE etc.)
  • 7 years' experience developing detailed test plans
  • 10 years' experience developing test scripts, scenarios, and use cases
  • 5 years' experience testing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft etc.)
  • Experience with HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and HP Performance Center (or similar tool for Performance/Load testing)
  • Expert level knowledge in planning, directing and managing interoperability testing (interfaces, data etc.)
  • Expert level knowledge in planning, directing and managing automation testing (functional, regression, performance, load etc.)
  • Shall possess at the time of award, and retain, an active SECRET security clearance with SSBI
  • Bachelor's Degree in any area of study and 10+ years' relevant experience; or 15+ years' relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Qualifications that are nice to have:

-Experience in developing test automation frameworks using tools such as HP Quality Center

-Knowledge of enterprise-level applications, including ERP, EDI, CRM, data warehouses, etc.

-Knowledge and experience with Oracle UPK and GRC Suite, and SQL for testing desired.

-Experience with defect tracking tools

-Experience with automated regression test scripts

-Experience in testing software for federal government

-Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
