job detailsjob summary:Estimator opportunity with a client located in the Washington DC area. Client is looking for someone that has experience in Metal Framing, Drywall, and Acoustical Ceiling scopes ideally associated with cleanrooms, interior finishes, or similar. Responsibilities will include performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects, establishing labor productivities for estimates, contract administration for secured projects, etc. Client has excellent benefits to include an incentive bonus plan, employee stock ownership plan, flexible paid time off policy and more.location: Ashburn, Virginiajob type: Permanentsalary: $80,000 - 104,000 per yearwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:
Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects
Establish labor productivities for estimate
Working closely with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing
Participate in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team
Preparing wage and benefit schedules
Other duties as typical and assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Construction Management is preferred (demonstrated experience will be considered in lieu of a degree)
Approximately 3- 5 years of estimating construction projects
Demonstrated experience with estimating drywall scopes of construction
Ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings
Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work
Experience with On-Screen, Takeoff, or QuickBid is a plus
