ABOUT THE JOB

It is the primary responsibility of the Executive Housekeeping Managerer to manage all operations for their properties. All duties are to be performed in accordance with Aqua Green Services policies, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

> Manages assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the Company.

> Manages projects based on specialized focuses; provides regular status updates to Area Manager.

> Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction.

> Conducts daily briefings with staff and coordinate necessary meetings with departmental employees.

> Conducts regular one-on-one meetings with General Managers, Regional Managers, and HR.

> Ensures safety regulations and procedures are adhered to.

> Holds monthly safety meetings and safety training as per Aqua Green Services policies.

> Reports maintenance needs and repair of equipment.

> Reports all injuries to HR immediately.

> Trains and monitors quality control in accordance with Brand standards for the properties.

> Follows up with staff on Quality Control and Visual inspections, accountability on room inventory, and covering check-outs.

> Creates an action plans for those that continually do not meet expectations.

> Provides the highest level of service to all guests; enforce standards for guest service and operational procedures.

> Provides input for new products and equipment to enhance guest experience and overall safety and departmental efficiency.

> Monitors and evaluate the department’s cost control, labor expense and process improvements.

> Conduct consistent evaluation and coaching of employees.

> Relationship building with all staff and HR to identify and resolve employee concerns.

> Create, implement, and ensure consistency with training of all direct reports and department new hires;

> Conduct/oversee on-going training and enforcement of policies and procedures.

> Support and mentor direct reports creating a development plan to help provide advancement opportunities

> Create succession planning for the department, division, and company.

> Compliance with the company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements.

> Familiar with interviewing and hiring practices and compliance laws.

> Ability to coach and mentor staff members not performing accordingly to standards and room credit goals.

> Counsel and issue approved discipline to employees that violate departmental and/or company policies and procedures

> Able to adjust accordingly with business demands

> Be able and not limited to operate and manage other positions in lieu of calls, vacation and needed coverage

> Conduct room inspections.

> Occasional travel as needed.

> Perform all other job-related duties as requested.

Required Qualifications:

At least 5 years of Supervisory experience in resort/hotel environment

Excellent customer service skills

Able to lead and mentor a team

Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts

Professional appearance and demeanor

High school diploma or equivalent

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral form

Will have intermediate to advanced knowledge of financial terms, budgeting, and other accounting activities

Will effectively lead and manage the overall operation of the department budget and be able to control operating expenses

Valid state driver’s license from applicable state and MVR in good standing

Must work well in highly stressful situations to effectively lead

Provide guidance to guests and staff or resolve concerns or other critical issues

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Administration

- Bi-lingual

Flexible Schedule – ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays
