Vaco Richmond is currently assisting one of our top clients in Richmond, VA with its search for a

Senior Financial Systems Analyst. This role will serve as the liaison between accounting and IT with regards to accounting/finance systems and data and it will work closely with senior leadership. There will be opportunity for advancement into a manager/director level role with management responsibilities. The Senior Financial Systems Analyst contributes to the company's success by identifying and designing improvements to the company financial and sales reporting systems and other analysis tools. He/She also provides user support and troubleshooting, responds to input on business requirements, systems and process enhancement support, system maintenance, and user training. This team is currently working a hybrid schedule (3 days in office and 2 days WFH each week).

Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical and creative solutions to improve efficiency of reconciliation, processing, and analysis using appropriate tools including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) programming.
  • Works closely with IT to ensure system stability and optimum performance while monitoring the data integrity and troubleshooting SQL Server problems and issues.
  • Administers and maintains financial systems configuration. This includes mappings and accounting rules for ERP systems and coordination with database administrators, as appropriate.
  • Maintains ERP reporting format and structures in line with sales company and reporting requirements. This involves maintenance and testing of any changes.
  • Assumes the lead role in the implementation and maintenance of financial software, including new and enhanced versions of application portfolio.
  • Provides support to senior finance management and other internal customers as needs arise, including ad-hoc financial analysis, and special projects.
  • Support Accounting and Reporting team during closing and reporting periods as needed .

Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance supplemented by IT training and experience
  • 5-10 years of combined financial and IT experience
  • Detailed knowledge of large ERP systems, MS ACCESS, Sales Data Warehouse, SQL, and advanced EXCEL
