- Support a Financial Audit Response and Remediation Team
- Identify, gather, and package key supporting documentation for submission to an auditor
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and compliance reviews
- Provide financial analysis and reporting
- Conduct internal control and sustainment testing to improve process, training, and strategic change management
- Take detailed notes and provide written summaries after meetings with the external auditor and other stakeholders
- Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field) or equivalent experience
- Three or more years' experience in Department of Defense financial audit or internal controls, USMC experience preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., conditional formatting, creating pivot tables, data analysis tools, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to interact efficiently with Military Personnel and Civilians
- Basic computer skills (e.g., the ability to navigate to a webpage, make entries, use a mouse, use Microsoft Office suite of applications, use Adobe Pro, etc.)
- Basic mathematical skills (e.g. ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide.)
- Typing skills (ability to type 45 words per minute)
- Ability to pay attention to details
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. May include lifting to 25 pounds as necessary.
