Job Title: Kiln FiremanJob DescriptionRoanoke-based company seeking a Kiln Fireman for our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Roanoke, VA.Responsibilities will include:
Monitoring the kiln computers
Checking all the kiln components and logging any issues observed
Checking all loaded kiln cars entering and exiting the kiln
Monitoring the scrubber
Monitoring pollution control equipment
Bending
Stooping
LiftingHard Skills
Maintain the dryer's and kiln temperatures and adjust accordingly to correctly fire the brick using computer controls
Load kiln cars into dryer and kiln on a timed schedule
Move cars around work tracks using transfer car
