Job Title: Forklift OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a diligent and responsible Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be accountable for receiving, storing and loading materials for production. The role also entails maintaining a well-organized yard area, assisting walk-up customers with their needs, and performing general housekeeping tasks around the plant and yard. Regular duties include preparing equipment for plant start-up each morning, operating a forklift to move, place and load masonry products, and other duties as directed by the plant manager. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 5 PM, with every other hour.Hard Skills

The job often requires navigating rough, muddy, icy walking surfaces and dealing with high noise levels and vibration. The successful candidate will frequently come into contact with moving parts and equipment, as well as potentially hazardous materials such as dust, diesel fuel, propane, cement, lime, concrete and admixtures that may cause burns, be toxic or explosive if mishandled. The role also involves frequent exposure to water and wet conditions.
