Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are in search of a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a team based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role involves a mix of accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities within the contracting industry. You will be expected to handle complex billing, manage accounts payable and receivables, conduct bank reconciliations, and oversee full cycle payroll. Responsibilities: Handle complex billing processes and ensure accuracy in all transactions Manage accounts payable and receivables, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify bank statements with our financial records Oversee full cycle payroll, ensuring all staff are paid accurately and on time Utilize Sage Software for financial reporting and other accounting functions Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness Use Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis Assist in collections by monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit recordsRequirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with all accounting functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Capable of performing bank reconciliations Knowledge of billing functions Experience with full cycle payroll Ability to manage and maintain the general ledger Proficiency in Sage Software Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
